Fiona Waring Dip (Nut), BSc., MSc. (Public Health Nutrition) is a Registered Associate Nutritionist with over 28 years experience working within the health and fitness industry. Fiona began her career managing Fitness Clubs, Leisure Centres and Spa’s. 15 years ago Fiona began training as a Nutritional Therapist, completing her first course in Naturopathic Nutrition with the  College of Natural Nutrition. Then went on to complete another three year course in Nutritional Therapy with The College of Naturopathic and Complementary Medicine. Completing a Masters in Public Health Nutrition at Southampton University in 2018.

Keeping current and up to date with Nutrition research is Fiona’s main priority. Spending a lot of her spare time reading, researching and attending Nutrition and Medical seminars and also watching Webinars on current and up to date nutrition information.

As a nutritional therapist Fiona is also interested in how the environment affects the quality and safety of foods, and what influence these factors have on health and disease.

"I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I have tried all kinds of diets from the fad diets of previous decades to the more recent Paleo, Keto and Very Low Calories ones all with limited short term but no long term success. I am in my mid-sixties; a Type 2 diabetic taking insulin and other medication, and I have a blood cell disorder which led to a full splenectomy 4 years ago.

I was recommended to Fiona by a mutual friend who knew I wanted to lose some weight. After a very thorough and detailed first session with Fiona I received a comprehensive report which included some relatively simple advice about eating healthily that I had not heard before including alternative substitutes for various food groups and specific recommendations for me.

That was six month ago. Since then I have followed Fiona’s advice and recommendations, sent her regular food diaries and had a couple of follow-up sessions. My eating regime/habits and (not to sound too dramatic) my relationship with food have been completely transformed. I thought I ate ‘healthily’ before, but Fiona has shown me the way to be eat both nutritionally well and truly healthily. I wish I had met her 40 years ago!

My blood glucose levels have never been so consistently good, I have reduced my insulin intake and completely stopped the acid reflux medication I had been taking for years. I feel so much better and I am slowly losing weight, but I know with my new way of eating that it will be sustainable this time."

I initially contacted Fiona to seek advice about issues I was having with hormonal skin and I have now been seeing her regularly for the past 18 months. She has helped me get into a better routine with my eating by looking closely at my food diaries, and she always provides me with lots of tried and tested recipes. I've also bought the Neal's Yard Remedies 'Eat Beautiful' book which Fiona co-authored which is incredibly informative. Fiona has been so knowledgeable about the vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements which would be most effective in helping me not only with my skin but also my general well-being and this has been hugely beneficial for me. Fiona is an approachable and experienced nutritionist and I feel lucky to have found her. She always looks at the bigger picture of what is going on in my life and her prescriptive advice has worked really well for me.

I came to Fiona some years ago at a very difficult time in my life, and as I work in mental health I was moved by her compassion and empathic approach that is so evident in her work.

With Fiona's guidance I sought appropriate medical help and received a diagnosis of osteoporosis, for which she has supported me nutritionally with a wonderful diet and supplements. I also had a skin condition of severe seborrhea  dermatitis which was exacerbated by stress and low mood.

My skin has now completely cleared up and my emotional well being has never been better. Fiona has a phenomenal amount of expertise and knowledge, and her recipes are unbelievably delicious. I have also been so impressed with her generous sharing of information, which has improved not only my quality of life but those I love and care about.

She is a wonderful woman, and top of her game. I feel so lucky to have found her.

I first went to Fiona after realising that I had a Candida problem which led to IBS, food intolerances and several other unpleasant symptoms. She put me on a strict diet with a selection of natural food supplements and guided me through my recovery period with advice and good humour.

She has taught me to listen to my body and to recognise the danger signs which indicate that Candida may be gaining a hold again.

More recently, she has been helping me back to health after major abdominal surgery and several courses of antibiotics which, though necessary, played havoc with my digestion. Thank you, Fiona, you have given me invaluable help with combatting my problems. Without your guidance, I would still be feeling unwell all the time.
